Calmed Inlets
Carrying out the second cleaning step in the rainwater tank, the calmed inlet is designed to prevent water from becoming stained and odorous, and avoid disturbing sediment at the bottom of the tank ensuring the best possible water quality.
How it works
- Rainwater flows into the calmed inlet;
- As the water flows through the calmed inlet, its velocity is reduced to allow it to enter the tank without turbulence;
- Calmed rainwater entering the tank supplies oxygen to the water resting at the lower end, keeping it fresh by prevention of anaerobic decomposition.
Calmed Inlet DN100/DN125
Description
The DN 100 and DN 125 are ideally suited to domestic applications. Carrying out the second cleaning step in the rainwater tank, the calmed inlet is designed to prevent water from disturbing sediment within the tank, while at the same time ensuring fresh water is supplied to the lower area of the tank. This ensures the best possible water quality by forcing complete and regular replenishment of stored water, whilst preventing sediment at the base of the tank from becoming disturbed, protecting pumps and appliances.

Giant Calmed Inlets
Description
The DN150, DN200 and DN250 form the 3P range of giant Calmed inlets. For use in larger rainwater storage tanks, the inlets prevent disturbance of the settled layer of sediment whilst providing freshening oxygen to the water stored at the lower end of the tank.
The calmed inlet is designed to prevent water from staining and developing odours, and to ensure the best possible water quality.
